The purpose of this training is to keep the psychotherapist with previous experience of Eating Disorders updated with respect to new scientific knowledge and to refine knowledge of the assessment, clinical comprehension and treatment. This training is also intended to help psychotherapists to resolve some of the difficulties they may face with their clients during therapy.

Objectives:

  1. Apply a diagnosis of eating disorders according to the new diagnostic criteria of DSM V.
  2. Situate new scientific knowledge about clinical understanding of eating disorders in current knowledge.
  3. Identify the preferable interventions to use with some of the more complex issues of eating disorders.

Prerequisites: Considering objective 2, the participant must follow in psychotherapy clients who have eating disorders.
