Description: This conference is necessary because although our clinics, hospitals, and drug rehabilitation facilities treat severely disturbed patients, we never see videotapes of effective treatment. As a result, we know theories of treatment but not how to put those theories into effective clinical action. This conference will use a videotaped initial session to show how to assess, how to intervene, and how to assess responses to intervention in order to treat patients who usually do not respond to therapy. This conference is suitable for all mental health professionals in private practice, clinics, hospitals, and drug rehabilitation facilities who work with traumatized patients, severely disturbed patients, or patients who repeatedly fail to respond to treatment.
- Learn how to assess and regulate anxiety
- Learn how to identify and deactivate projections
- Learn how to develop consensus on the therapeutic task
