Sharon Rossy

Sharon received her Psychotherapy license in 2015 while training at the Argyle Institute, following her Masters in Educational Counseling at McGill University. Before that, she was a Family Life Educator and worked with schools, community organizations and Batshaw Youth Protection with high risk parents. In 2009, Sharon began running support groups for bereaved mothers three years after the death of her eldest son in 2006. In 2012, she began training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in the IPTP program at the Argyle Institute. Her practice has clients dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, but loss and grief is a significant portion of her practice. Sharon believes that we maintain continuing bonds with our loved ones and that each person’s journey is unique to them. As well, it’s important to recognize that grief is not a disease but a process that we hopefully learn to reconcile with in our daily lives.
