Alex Cooper has been a volunteer with the Argyle’s fundraising group since 2017 and has been serving on the board, leading outreach and communication efforts since 2018. In addition to over 15 years of sales and marketing experience with companies such as the Cirque du Soleil, Alex has also been very involved in Montreal’s music community and playing in bands both locally and internationally. Alex has a great passion to raise awareness of the Argyle both within the community and among donors and foundations so that its services may reach more of those in need.

Andrée Moro has been a consultant in general management with national operational start-ups and corporate reengineering in the Retail and Co-op Industry, she has joined the Argyle to assist with her skills to help run an efficient organization. She has sat on the board of the Quebec Fédération of Coopératives in the education Sectors as President and Vice-President, as well as board member for the Economic Council of Montreal.

Brenda has been a Quality Control Manager at PSB Boisjoli, LLP for the last 10 years. A graduate from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Certificate in Chartered accounting. Brenda has been active in volunteering in the Mental health field for many years working as a fundraiser for Amie Quebec. And now as the new Treasurer at the Argyle.

David is a licensed Psychotherapist since 2013 when he obtained his OPQ Permit. Some of David’s specialities include Marriage and Family Therapy, Men’s issues, Sexuality Issues, Relationship transitions, and coping skills. The types of therapy he practices are CBT, Psychodynamic and Systemic as well as Relational – David helps to provide the therapists perspective on the Board of Directors.

Elisa became a member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec in 2017. She has been working in private practice as a licensed Psychologist in Montreal since, providing psychodynamic psychotherapy to adults and young adults. After completing the post-graduate Individual Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program at the Argyle Institute, Elisa became a clinical member of the Argyle embracing its values and mission. She has also taught and supervised within the Psychodynamic program and is the Chair of the Education Committee at the same Institute.

Joanne is a strategic leader with broad experience in developing, managing and executing results across several industries. She has 30 years in the financial services, customer focussed services and the retail banking sectors. Joanne currently leads a management services & consulting business The Heward Group Inc. where she works alongside customers and their teams providing effective organizational solutions and business strategies. Amongst her non-for-profit experience, Joanne is Past Chair of the Board of Directors of The Action Centre. The Action Centre & The Action Centre Foundation of which she was previously Executive Director.

Johanne Larouche has been working in the not-for-profit sector in Community Service organizations, designing and managing service-delivery programs, creating Education and Training programs and in Philanthropy for most of her career. A true social entrepreneur, Johanne was the founding Executive Director for 3 not-for-profits including YES Montreal and 1 private enterprise. Johanne is extremely pleased to join the Argyle to share her passion and talents for creating Programs and Services assisting those in need.

Joseph Morcos is a multilingual, seasoned psychotherapist (OPQ) who began his private practice in 2012 When he completed an M.A. in counseling psychology with excellence from McGill and proudly joined the Order of Guidance Counsellors of Quebec (OCCOQ). For his post-graduate studies, he successfully completed the Individual Psychodynamic Training Program (IPTP) at the Argyle Institute of Human Relations. Joseph holds a permit to practice as a psychotherapist from the Order of Psychologists of Québec (OPQ). He is currently on the board of directors of the Association of Quebec Psychotherapists (APQ) and the board of directors as well as the Group Therapy committee of the Argyle Institute of Human Relations.

Lisa is a psychotherapist and couple therapist who has been with the Argyle Institute since 2000 when she began the post-Master’s clinical training in Marital and Family Therapy. Her clinical work is predominantly with individual adults over the age of 19. Her clinical approach draws from psychodynamic, short-term experiential dynamic, EFT, CBT, and Mindful Self-Compassion. She has been the chair of the Argyle Membership Committee since 2016 and also a director on the Argyle board of directors since 2019.

Maria Ricciardelli is a counsellor whose private practise is located in Montreal’s West Island. She holds a MSW from McGill University and completed a three-year program in Individual and Group Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (Allan Memorial Institute). Along with these, Maria has two management certificates through UQTR and Université Laval. Her 33 years of employment with the region’s health and social services network where she held a variety of postings ranging from front-line social work to management have helped shape her belief of the importance of accessibility to counselling and psychotherapy. A member of the OTSTCFQ and of the OCSWSSW, Maria is a firm believer in lifelong learning. As a testament to this, she is completing her requirements with the OPQ to obtain her psychotherapy permit.

Moira is the Past-President of the Board of Directors of the Argyle Institute, and has been a member of the organization since 2010. Moira is a Psychotherapist and Couple & Family Therapist in private practice in Montreal. With over a decade of experience, she provides confidential psycho-therapeutic counseling on a range of personal and relational issues to individuals, couples and families. She also teaches the Ethics course in the Marital and Family Therapy program at the Argyle. Moira holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from McGill University, a Postgraduate Accredited Diploma in Marital and Family Therapy (MFT) from the Argyle Institute, and an Honors Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Queen’s University. She is a licensed member of the Quebec Order of Social Workers and Marital Family Therapists.

Susan Philippas is the Board Secretary for the Argyle Institute. She graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Business Administration. She retired after 31 years working at Kraft Canada Inc. Her work experience and analytical strengths empower her to be a contributing member to the Argyle. She assists this board in continuously improving the center’s service performance, sustainability, and development plans. Her academic background and work experience give her insight in how important it is to work as a team to accomplish all the organization’s goals.
